2018 Cortada Alta Vineyard Pinot Noir
In our third year of Pinots from Cortada Alta, they continue to showcase density and intensity that expands our notion of Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir. Dark, with a brilliant purple tone that remains opaque to the rim, this wine opens with anise, fennel, holiday baking spice, cedar, wild berries, plums and vanilla bean. The palate is defined by notes of Earl Grey tea and blackberry, framed by a structure of moderate tannins — it all leads to a lengthy and complex finish.
