2016 Peterson Vineyard Chardonnay

After some warmer vintages, the 2016 growing season featured a return to cool foggy mornings and evenings resulting in a wine of true balance and tension. Stone fruits and hazelnuts show on the nose, and the palate is balanced between apples, pears, and toasty oak. Utilizing 100% Hyde clone, the Peterson Vineyard Chardonnay embraces its bright acidity and creates a wine that is much more subdued and nuanced than many other Santa Lucia Chardonnays.
