2016 Cortada Alta Vineyard Syrah

Made with fruit from a tiny Syrah block at the northern most point of Cortada Alta Vineyard, this Syrah balances the unmistakable terroir of the Santa Lucia Highlands with Rhone-like refinement. Raspberries, white pepper, and French oak-driven aromas greet you on the nose and palate — and while ripe, this wine maintains refreshing acidity that provides excellent balance. Only 15 cases were made in this first vintage, making this a very rare expression of the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation.
